Beatrice Uria Monzon

Béatrice Uria-Monzon spent her formative years in her native town of Agen south west of France. In 1984 she began studying at the Centre National d’Interstion Professionnelle des Artistes Lyriques in Marseille, and then at the École d’Art Lyrique de l’Opéra National de Paris. She has since performed in many of the world’s most prestigious theaters, including at the Paris National Opera in Don Quichote, Didon in The Trojans at the Deusche Oper Berlin, Eboli in Don Carlo at the Staatsoper Berlin and at the Vienna Philharmonic.

Her 2012/2013 season included performances as Princes Marina Mnisjek in Boris Godunov at the Teatro Real in Madrid, as Venus in Tannhäuser at the Opera National du Rhin, and as Princess Eboli in Don Carlo at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, amongst others.
